Figure 8 Fiber Optic Cable

The structure of the GYTC8A fiber optic cable is to insert a 250μm optical fiber into a loose tube made of high-modulus material, which is filled with a waterproof compound. At the center of the core is a metal reinforcing core, around which loose tubes (and filler ropes) are twisted to form a compact and round core. The core is coated with a layer of plastic-coated aluminium tape (APL) and integrated into a figure-8 polyethylene sheath with the stranded wire. YOFC Optical Fiber & Cable Co., Ltd. can also provide Y-sheathed or S-sheathed figure-8 fiber optic cables GYTC8Y, GYTC8S, etc., which are mostly used in self-supporting overhead laying.

Description

Product standards
  • YOFC’s GYTC8A fiber optic cable complies with YD/T 1155 and IEC 60794-1 standards.
Features:
• The steel wire strands have extremely high tensile strength, which is convenient for self-supporting overhead laying and reduces installation costs

• Fiber optic cables have very good mechanical properties and temperature characteristics

• The loose tube material itself has good hydrolysis resistance and high strength

• The tube is filled with special paste to protect the optical fiber

• The following measures are taken to ensure the waterproof performance of the cable:

– Single wire center reinforcing core

– The loose tube is filled with a special waterproofing compound

– Full core filling

– Plastic-coated aluminium tape (APL) moisture barrier
